Relay for Life Wexford Introduces New Chairperson for 2024
First and foremost, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible Relay for Life Committee and the entire community of supporters of Relay for Life Wexford for standing by us throughout 2023.
It was an unprecedented year, and we couldn't have navigated it without you all cheering us on, sharing in our grief and showing up when it counted. Ultimately we managed to pull it off and we are confident Gay would have been proud. For that, we are eternally grateful 💜🧡
In the midst of the challenges we faced, it didn't feel appropriate to appoint a new chairperson last year. However, recognizing the need for sustainability, we embarked on a journey to find the right person to carry on Gay's remarkable legacy in 2024 and beyond.
We are thrilled to share that, with the invaluable support of the Irish Cancer Society, we have successfully identified an individual from within our community to step into this role. We felt it simply had to be someone with a passion and commitment for both Relay for Life and what it means to our community here in Wexford. So, it is with great pleasure that we announce Julie Jackson as the new Chairperson for Relay For Life Wexford, a decision reached through a unanimous vote among our current committee members.
Julie brings a wealth of passion, dedication, and community spirit to this position, and we are confident that she will continue the outstanding work that Gay initiated. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Julie as she takes on her new role.
As we embark on a new chapter with Julie at the helm, we look forward to the continued support of our community and the positive impact we can make together. Here's to Relay For Life Wexford in 2024!
